Douglas Parsons

September 3, 1957 — July 15, 2025

Douglas Parsons passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on September 3, 1957, Douglas led a life rich with love, creativity, and service.

He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard, demonstrating his dedication to his country before receiving an honorable discharge in 1981. This period of his life shaped the character of the man many came to know as kind-hearted and compassionate.

Douglas's passion for life extended beyond service; he was particularly fond of traveling across the United States, creating lasting memories with his beloved wife, Alice Parsons, and their family. He was a skilled artisan, gifted in painting, drawing, and sketching, with a special admiration for American Indian art. His artistic talents and gentle nature endeared him to many, as he consistently shared his creativity with those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Parsons; sons Eric Parsons (Megan Brown) and Joshua Parsons; daughters Kaitlin (Alex) Wombacher and Kelly Parsons; and his cherished grandchildren: Zoey Fellin, Rohan Conn, Elias Conn, Illiana Conn, Sebastian Conn, Alex Wombacher II, and Ariella Parsons. Douglas also leaves behind his sister, Debora (Doug) Scaggs, who will carry his spirit in her heart.

Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Parsons, and his mother, Shirley Parsons. His legacy of love, artistry, and kindness will be remembered by all whose lives he touched. As we reflect on his life, we celebrate the joy he brought to our world and the indelible mark he has left in our hearts.
