In Loving Memory of
Edward A. Spinaio
1935 - 2026
Edward A. Spinaio fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of nearly 65 years to Janet S. (nee Hoefli) Spinaio; loving father of Mark (Bernice) Spinaio, Victoria (Joseph) Porcelli, Christina (Paul) Hoffman, and Edward Spinaio; dear grandfather of Joshua Spinaio, Amanda (Ethan) Zachman, Paul (Morgan) Hoffman Jr, Angela (Michael) Langella, Alyssa, and Ashley Porcelli, Anthony and Thomas Spinaio, Joseph, Vincent, and Dominic Spinaio; dear great-grandfather of Piper Spinaio, Weston, Camden, and Hudson Zachman, Paul III and Owen Hoffman, and Giovanna Langella; cherished brother of the late Blanche (Al) Stratmann, and Rosalyn (Casey) Hoehn; brother-in-law of the late Harry (Betty) Hoefli; uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
As a young father, family was always a cornerstone of his existence. He enjoyed spending time with his family, telling stories, and sharing his corny sense of humor. Ed spent time in both the Army Reserves and Air National Guard. He shared his musical talent by playing the trumpet for many years in the Air National Guard band, several community bands, and singing in the St. Norbert’s church choir. Ed enjoyed a lengthy career as a construction superintendent overseeing the development of countless residential communities. Ed had a true love of cars; he loved antique cars, prided himself on keeping his cars clean as a whistle, and after retirement, even enjoyed several years as a chauffeur, driving various models and classics.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 9:30 am – 10:30 am with a Memorial Service from 10:30 am – 11:30 am, at Newcomer, St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636.875.1200).
