Born June 9, 1973, to Donna R. (Jones) Reese and Ernest H. Reese. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest H. Reese; grandparents Donald R. Jones and Donald E. and Lamoura D. Robinson; and aunts Diana L. (Jones) Thomas and Cheryl M. (Jones) Rankins. Ernest is survived by his wife, Teressa E. (Wilkewitz) Reese; son, Christopher R. Reese; mother, Donna R. (Jones) Reese; siblings Staci L. (Reese) Modica and Gregory Reese; stepchildren Eric, Nolan, Calvin, and Axel Underwood; and many relatives and friends.

Personal Tribute

Beloved husband, father, friend, and lifelong quick wit with a sharp sense of humor, Ernest was the proud dad of Christopher and Axel and a devoted stepdad to Eric, Nolan, and Calvin. He was the loving husband of Teressa, son of Donna, brother to Gregory and Staci, and uncle to Tyra, Diana, Anthony, Jake, Layla, and a whole bunch of little blonde girls.

Ernest made friends everywhere he went, sometimes even with people who probably did not deserve it. Known for his sharp sarcasm and strong sense of fairness, he believed deeply in treating people with dignity. He lived by the words of one of his favorite heroes, “Anyone can wear the mask.” Ernest truly believed that everyone deserves a seat at the table - and like that hero, sought to ensure that everyone has representation.

In high school, he was a standout track athlete whose records still stand more than 35 years later. He was also a proud comic book nerd who loved Doctor Who, Star Trek, and professional wrestling.

The world is now a little less sarcastic, a little less funny, and a lot less Ernest.  We will miss him so much.
