Ethel "Fay" Rowton

Ethel "Fay" Rowton of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Rowton (2024), and her grandson, David Dawson.

Fay was a dedicated professional, managing the Investment Department at Washington University for 25 years. She enjoyed a rich life filled with reading, traveling with her husband Gene, and playing golf. Known for her intelligence, warmth, and generosity, Fay touched the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Rowton (Nancy), Jane Dawson, and Mary Nelson (Chris); her grandchildren, Natalie Wright (Matthew), Stephanie Ngo (Scott), Garrett Miller (Brooke), Laurel Miller (Dennis James), Ashley Nelson and Tiffany Nelson; and her great-grandchildren, Hollie, Christopher, Madden, Everly, Truett, Magnolia, and K.J.

A small family interment will be held at Bellerive Cemetery. Fay will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends for her kindness and the joy she brought into their lives.
