Eula M. Shobe, a beloved matriarch, entered into eternal rest on January 31, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on September 3, 1932, Eula's life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to her family, her commitment to her work, and her spirit of service within her community.
Eula had a long and fulfilling career as a bookkeeper for Hamra Enterprises, where she contributed her talents for many years until her retirement at the age of 80. Her meticulous nature and strong work ethic made her a respected member of her profession.
Eula was known for her sweet, giving, and caring nature. She possessed a selfless spirit and always put others first, qualities that she instilled in her daughters. A strong and independent woman, Eula's personality was marked by love and resilience. Her hobbies included being an avid reader, with a particular fondness for romance novels that provided her an escape into the imaginative worlds of her favorite authors.
Throughout her life, Eula actively participated in her church, where she was heavily involved in its singles group. Her commitment to her faith and community was profoundly meaningful to her, allowing her to support and inspire those around her.
Eula is survived by her two daughters, Patti Jo (Rodney) Mainini and Pamela (the late Bob) Kyle. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Delilah Shobe; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Cody) Smith, Justin Israel, Nicole (David) Moore, Brittney (Chris) DeDinas, Mackenzie (Talon) Rovka, Tanner (Kelly) Mainini, and Morgan (Kevin) Backer; and eleven great-grandchildren: Jared, Isabella, Samantha, Jake, Emma, Landry, Harrison, Brooklyn, Elliott, Maeve, and Skylar. She is further survived by her sister, Joyce (Gayle) White, along with a host of other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Eula was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shobe; her mother, Opal Cantrell; her father, Burley Cantrell; and her son, Stanley Shobe. She also mourned the loss of her two sisters, Jean Milton and Katie Cantrell.
Visitation will be held on February 21, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, followed by a funeral service commencing at 2:30 PM. Eula's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
