Listen to Obituary

Evelyn Geraldine Ashcraft, fondly known as Geri, was born on March 13, 1938, in Dexter, Missouri. She passed away peacefully in her home in Wentzville, Missouri, on October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Geri dedicated over 30 years to a successful career in banking while also embracing her passion for real estate. But it was her vibrant personality that truly left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Many will remember how Charles met Geri; her infectious laughter echoed through the cafeteria at his job, drawing him in with curiosity and instantly capturing his heart. Their love blossomed into a beautiful journey that spanned 59 years, a testament to the strength of their bond.

Her bubbly, fun, and caring nature defined her personality. Geri was always there for those in need, a fighter who faced challenges head-on while maintaining her infectious smile. Her love extended beyond her family to her two treasured puppy dogs, Tabby and Toby, who brought her joy and companionship in her later years.

Geri cherished traveling, reveling in the sun at the beach, especially during her trips to South Padre Island. Cruises were another highlight in her life, as were the precious moments spent with her loved ones. Her life was an embodiment of strong faith, which she held dear throughout her journey.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles E. Ashcraft, her loving children, Susan Thomson, Danny (Sharon) Ashcraft, and Mark (Michelle Fortner) Ashcraft, her sister-in-law and best friend, Phyllis Mace, her grandchildren, Christopher (Elizabeth) Ashcraft, Katie (Joe) Doty, Blake Ashcraft, Kristin (Amblessed) Oparaji, and Julie (Josh) Fann, her adored great-grandchildren, and her special friend, Terry Pace, all of whom she held close to her heart.

Geri's legacy is marked by her proudest accomplishments: her enduring marriage to Charles and the love she poured into raising her children—Ronald, Susan, Danny, and Mark.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ronald Graham, her devoted parents, Rev. Leo and Earlene Mace, her brother, Richard Mace, and her infant sister, Anna Wanda Lee Mace.

In honoring Geri’s life, family and friends will gather for a visitation on October 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, followed by a heartfelt Celebration of Life from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. A graveside service will take place at St. Charles Memorial Gardens at 1:45 p.m., where her family will lay her to rest. A luncheon will follow the graveside service and all are invited to attend.

As we remember Evelyn Geraldine Ashcraft, let us celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and a spirit that embraced the beauty of every moment. She will be profoundly missed but will forever remain in our hearts, a reminder of the joyous love she shared with us all.
