Floyd F. Parker, born April 3, 1935, in Braggadocio, Missouri, passed away on July 9, 2026. Throughout his ninety-one years, Floyd lived a life defined by deep commitment to family, noteworthy professional achievements, and a love for both learning and sports.
Floyd graduated from Caruthersville High School as a proud member of the Class of 1954. Floyd then went on to serve in the United States Air Force for 10 years until his honorable discharge. With a strong drive and discipline, he embarked on a dedicated career path, serving as a purchasing agent for several well-respected organizations: Rexall Drug Company, Con P Curran Printing Company, and later with Rug Doctor, where he ultimately retired in 1997. His professionalism and steadfast work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
In 1964, Floyd moved to St. Louis County before settling in St. Charles County, communities where he would build not only his career but also a lasting home for his growing family. One of Floyd’s proudest accomplishments was his enduring marriage of 68 years to his beloved wife, Kay Parker. Together, they created a supportive and loving environment, nurturing generations who continue to honor his legacy.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Parker; his daughter, Diana (Paul) Scherbring; his son, David (Tina) Parker; and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy: Matthew (Amanda) Scherbring, Michael (Christina) Scherbring, Steven Scherbring, Ashley (Matthew) Willis, Dallas Parker, William Scherbring, Oliver Scherbring, Walter Scherbring, Layton Willis, and Dylan Willis. Floyd’s devotion to his family was unwavering, serving as a guiding presence and a source of steadfast support throughout their lives.
His passing also marks a reunion with loved ones gone before him: his mother, Margret Parker; father, William Parker; sisters Inez Griggs, Lottie Stolsek, Pauline Greggory, Mabel Johnson, Glennon Ford; and brother Landon Parker.
Outside of his professional and familial duties, Floyd had a lifelong passion for sports—enjoying baseball, football, and hockey—and was an avid reader who found pleasure in expanding his knowledge. He also cherished group tours, seeking out new experiences and connections with others.
Visitation will be held on July 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376.
