Fred W. Geren, a beloved figure who touched the lives of many, passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 77 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. Born on November 4, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, Fred was a dedicated community servant and cherished family man who embodied kindness and warmth.

Fred’s career began in the ranks of the Lincoln County Sheriff Department, where he served as a Deputy, earning the respect and appreciation of his colleagues and the community. He later became an Automotive Service Manager, showcasing his vast knowledge and passion for helping others with their vehicle needs.

Fred's educational journey led him to graduate from Hazelwood Central High School in Florissant, MO, where he likely forged friendships that would last a lifetime. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him remembered him as someone who embodied a spirit of camaraderie and support.

Beyond his professional life, Fred found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, spending countless hours in nature, relishing the tranquility it brought him. Gardening was another of Fred’s passions, where he nurtured both plants and relationships, tending to both with care. His culinary skills were also a delight to his family and friends, as he took great pleasure in cooking, often creating cherished meals for loved ones.

He is survived by his son Richard (Jennifer) Geren, and his grandchildren, Michael and Tyler. Fred’s sisters, Sharon Geren and Beverly Becker, remain a testament to the family bonds that he cherished throughout his life. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by a host of many loving family and friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred E. Geren and Virginia Geren, whose legacy continues through their son and his beloved family.
