Gail Zanitsch

Gail Zanitsch, age 70, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on July 18, 1953 to Carl and Dorothy Brandenberg (nee Lambert).

Gail was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend. She achieved success wherever she went. Before retirement she enjoyed working as a paralegal at the Law Office of Baerveldt and Boedefeld. After retiring she delighted in traveling around with her husband of over 50 years, most notably to anywhere with mountains. They each profoundly loved music and often found themselves planning trips around shows. While not traveling she could be found hitting up the thrift stores, garage sales, looking for the best bargain or on her way to a concert or musical ready to sing her heart out. She also enjoyed reading, crafting, and making jewelry. She loved those around her dearly, including her grandpup Oakley.

Gail is survived by her husband, Joseph Zanitsch; her sons, Christopher Zanitsch, and Jeremy (Heather) Zanitsch; her daughters, Amanda Zanitsch, and Elizabeth Zanitsch; her grandchildren, Katherine Zanitsch, Leah Zanitsch; her sister, Carol (Tom) Bufaro; her brother, Carl (Dawn) Brandenberg Jr. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Brandenberg; her mother, Dorothy Brandenberg; and her sister, Kaye Harris.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm all on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be private.
