Gary Hoffmann, born on March 30, 1944, passed away on July 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by devotion to family, commitment to public service, and unwavering dedication to his community.

Gary was a steadfast presence in the lives of his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Hoffmann, whose companionship and love were the foundation of his life. His daughters, Tracy Lynn Livingston and Cynthia Hoffmann-Davis, remember him as a constant source of wisdom, encouragement, and warmth. Gary also welcomed family into his heart in many forms, lovingly embracing his step-son Marc Manzo and step-daughter Barbara Manzo as his own. His granddaughter, Amber Arter, brought him immense pride and joy, reflecting the kindness and values he so deeply cherished.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Hoffmann, and his mother, Helen Schindler. Their influence helped shape Gary into the compassionate and principled man he became.

Gary's life was characterized by extraordinary service to others. For over 30 years, he dedicated countless hours as a volunteer reserve police officer with the Florissant and Maryland Heights Police Departments. His commitment to public safety went beyond expectation and became a hallmark of his unwavering moral character. Gary also gave freely of his time in support of the Masonic Lodge and served in the ProVost Guard for the Shriners, organizations that benefited greatly from his diligence and care.

A proud and passionate advocate for working people, Gary was a strong supporter of the labor’s union with Local 562 Pipefitters for over 60 years. This devotion was both personal and communal, as he worked to uplift and empower those around him through advocacy, mentorship, and friendship.

Visitation will be held in remembrance of Gary’s remarkable life on July 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters, MO 63376. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Gary are invited to attend and offer their respects.

Gary Hoffmann’s memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. His lifetime of service, compassion, and integrity serves as a guiding light for his family, friends, and community. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will not be forgotten.
