Jerry Mincher, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and Marine Veteran, passed away on May 28, 2026. Born on January 10, 1948, Jerry lived a life centered around family and friends.

Jerry loved spending time outdoors – watching one of his grandsons’ games, hunting, barbequing, going on golf cart rides, and working in his yard and garden. He also loved cars, watching Cardinals baseball, playing poker with family and friends, buying scratch-off tickets, trying his luck on the slot machines, and enjoying a cold beer or a glass of Wild Turkey.

But more than anything, Jerry loved being "Grand” to his six grandsons, Ben, Ian, and Nick Dandridge, and Nathan, Tyson, and Lincoln Mincher. The boys were a source of immense pride and joy, and he deeply cherished every single moment spent with them.

Jerry was also proud of his service in the Marine Corps and carried the values of honor, loyalty, and dedication with him every day.

Jerry will be remembered as a devoted family man from North County, a man who honored a gentleman’s agreement with a handshake, a man who was true to his word, a man known for the love he shared with those around him, and the Mincher Car Wash and Mechanic Shop. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Janice, whose hand he held tight and whose love he cherished for 58 beautiful years of marriage. His love and commitment to her never wavered. He is also survived by his daughter, Shannon Dandridge and husband Jim, and his son, Ryan Mincher and wife Renee.

He is also survived by his brother, Jim Mincher, his brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Onita and Alvie Mincher, his niece, Jamie Mincher, and his nephew, Joshua Standeford.
