Listen to Obituary

Gina Sapico, born in Olongapo, Philippines, passed away on September 23, 2025. She is remembered as a loving mother, devoted fiancée, and cherished daughter whose laughter, warmth, and unmistakable presence left an imprint on everyone she met.

To know Gina was to feel cared for. She was the kind of person who, even when facing her own battles, would still look at you and ask, “Did you eat?” That simple question captured her essence always putting the comfort of others first, always making sure the people around her were okay. Gina had an energy that filled a room, a mix of kindness, humor, and fire that made her unforgettable.

She found joy in the simple things, watching her beloved Korean dramas, moving to music whenever the mood struck, and sharing laughs with friends and family. Dancing and laughter were part of her spirit, and she carried a lightheartedness that reminded those around her to savor life’s moments.

Her greatest pride and happiness were her children: Jessica Porter, Adene Edwards, and Brandon Edwards. She nurtured them with unwavering love, always encouraging them to be strong, to laugh often, and to know they were deeply cared for.

Gina is survived by her mother, Rosa Shepherd, who was her guiding force, and by her fiancé, Derik Stone, with whom she shared a special place in her heart. She is reunited with her father, Steven Shepherd, whose memory has always been a part of her family’s story.

A visitation to honor Gina’s life will be held on September 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, laugh through tears, and remember the joy she spread so effortlessly.

Gina will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love, her strength, her laughter, and the way she made everyone feel at home in her presence.
