Gloria Hope Obermark

Gloria Hope Obermark, 79, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday April 29th, 2025.

She was born to the late Frank Gerardot Jr. and Hilda Gerardot, November 16th, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Irv “Butch” Obermark in 1964, and they lived in California, Texas and Missouri throughout their life together. She loved to travel, and she and Butch went all across the country on adventures together. Gloria retired after a very long and successful career at NISC which included being a computer programmer, a software coordinator and ending as a mapping supervisor. She was extremely proud of her professional accomplishments, but there was nothing that brought her more pride than her family— especially her two granddaughters. The sun rose and set on them as far as she was concerned.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Butch, her sister and brother, Janet and Frank Gerdardot III, and her daughter Renee (Tom) Nowakowski. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Lauren and Abigail Nowakowski. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Hilda Gerardot, and her sisters Jeanne (Rick) Cole and Denise Danz, as well as her daughter Stacey Obermark. She leaves behind many other friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws that she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Five Acres Animal Shelter.

A viewing and service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, May 3rd with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 pm.
