Halie T. Caldwell, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, in St. Peters, Missouri. He was born on April 26, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, and lived a life marked by dedication, love, and a strong moral compass.

Halie’s career was distinguished by his work at McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, and GKN, where he applied his skills with unwavering commitment. A quiet yet impactful presence, he embodied wisdom and calm composure, making a difference in the lives of those who had the privilege to know him.

An honorably discharged veteran, Haile served valiantly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His bravery was recognized with the prestigious Bronze Star for Valor, alongside two Purple Hearts, and several other commendations reflecting his service and sacrifice for his country.

Education played a foundational role in Halie’s life; he graduated from Sumner High School in 1968, paving the way for a future marked by service and personal growth.

Halie cherished his family above all. He is survived by his son Terrell (Kimberly) Caldwell and stepsons Jeremy Krawzik and Gary (Tracy) Krawzik. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Brendan, Bryce, Baredyn, Remi, and Jasper Krawzik, as well as his great-grandchildren Ryan and Hunter. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his cousins Mike Conley and Carolyn Jackson, along with a host of other family members and friends whose lives he deeply touched.

Preceding Halie in death were his beloved wife, MaDonna Caldwell, his son Sherron Caldwell, and his mother Opal Lewis. Their absence leaves a painful void, yet their memories are carried forward through the lives he continues to influence.

Halie had a variety of interests that brought joy to his life. He loved watching Westerns, finding peace in fishing, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of barbecuing. Above all, he looked out for the people in his life and was a source of strength and guidance, imparting his wisdom to those around him.
