Hans Georg Angermann

December 27, 1943 — April 29, 2025

Chesterfield, Missouri

Hans Georg Angermann, a beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, brother-in-law, and cherished member of the community, peacefully passed away on April 29, 2025, in Town and Country, Missouri. Born on December 27, 1943, in Kulmbach, Germany, Hans lived a life filled with passion and purpose, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

From an early age, Hans immersed himself in the art of hair styling, beginning his barbering apprenticeship under the watchful eye of his father. After migrating to the United States, he continued to hone his craft by completing his apprenticeship under the esteemed Hans Wiemann. His dedication and creativity in this field were evident throughout his career as a hair stylist, where he became known not only for his skilled hands but also for his warm and engaging personality.

Hans was more than just a stylist; he was a "real character," whose sense of humor often blurred the lines between seriousness and jest. His laughter and light-heartedness made every interaction enjoyable, and those who met him quickly recognized the depth of his caring nature. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, spreading joy and kindness with every snip of the scissors.

His life's journey was greatly enriched by the people and experiences he encountered. Just a month before his passing, Hans was fortunate to travel back to Germany, where he joyfully reunited with his sister and other family members for the first time in over 25 years. This trip was a heartfelt reminder of his roots and the love that transcended the miles.

Hans's love for life extended to a variety of interests. He was a frequent visitor to Las Vegas, always drawn to the allure of the Bellagio, and he found great satisfaction in working in his yard, where his creativity and eye for landscaping truly shone. His home was a testament to his fashionable spirit, beautifully adorned and filled with warmth and striking decor, much like the man himself.

One of Hans's most treasured gifts was his beloved wife of 51 years, Michelle Harriett Angermann, who predeceased him. Their love story was one of profound connection, and he cherished their shared moments together. Additionally, Hans took immense pride in becoming an American citizen, a milestone that epitomized his journey and dedication to his new homeland.

He leaves behind a family who will forever hold his memory dear. His sister, Marga (the late Werner) Dorr, along with his nephews John (Tamara) Mueller, Uwe Dorr, Erich Dorr, and his nieces Karin Johrden, Christa Rohde, Katrin Gunst, and Petra Zager, all honor his legacy. Great-nephew Logan Mueller, great-niece Holly Mueller, great-niece Hatti (Patrick) Jochimsen, and great-great-niece Rowan Dyke will also carry his spirit with them as they navigate their lives. His brother-in-law, John A. (Patricia) Mueller, Sr., stands among those who will miss him deeply. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Margarete Angermann, sisters Else Buch and Irmgard Muller, nephew, Jefferey Mueller, and niece, Renate Beyerlein.

Hans Georg Angermann's life was a celebration of love, laughter, and artistry. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we gather to honor his memory, let us carry forward the joy he brought into our lives, the lessons he taught us, and the warmth he exuded.
