Howard Theisman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on March 19, 1948, Howard lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for sports, which he enthusiastically shared with his family and friends.
A man known for his wonderful sense of humor, Howard had a remarkable ability to see the positive side of life. His infectious spirit and unwavering optimism endeared him to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Howard's love for golf was legendary; he earned the affectionate nickname, "Dr. Golf," due to his devotion to the game. His enthusiasm for sports extended beyond the golf course, as he dedicated countless hours to coaching his children's teams, passionately supporting their endeavors.
In addition to his adventures on the golf course, Howard embraced his role as a devoted family man. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, attending their baseball games, and celebrating their milestones. His devotion to family was the cornerstone of his life, illustrating the depth of love and commitment he had for those closest to him. Howard was also an avid softball player, actively participating in the sport well into his fifties.
Howard leaves behind his loving wife, Marion Theisman; two sons, Eric (Jennifer) Theisman and Luke (Amanda) Theisman; daughter, Beth (Adam) Lowes; eight grandchildren, Blake Luebbers, Caitlyn Luebbers, Brennan Theisman, Ethan Theisman, Taylor Theisman, Gavin Theisman, Parker Lowes, and Logan Theisman; sister, Cheryl (Greg) Hild; brother, Paul (Sheri) Theisman; brother-in-law, John Pomeroy; and a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard F. Theisman; mother, Anita Theisman; and sister, Jean Pomeroy.
A visitation will be held in Howard's honor on November 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri.
Howard Theisman will be remembered not only for his humor and zest for life but also for the unconditional love he gave to his family and the legacy of joy he leaves behind.
