Jacqueline Jean Weber

Jacqueline Jean Weber, lovingly known as Jackie, passed away peacefully in her home in Portage Des Sioux on September 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 26, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, and all those who knew and loved Jackie are smiling or laughing right now as they remember their time with her.

Jackie wasn’t just the “life of the party,” she was the party. Her zest for life was infectious to anyone she crossed paths with and had a way of making everyone’s day brighter. Jackie’s heart was as big as they come and her “family” included anyone who needed an ear to bend, a shoulder to lean on, or of course a drink to share. Jackie loved to host parties and gatherings, especially during the holidays and her fall parties in Portage became epic events with haunted houses, live bands and a guest list that some years neared a thousand, because all were welcome.

Among Jackie's proudest accomplishments was her marriage of 61 years to her beloved husband, John Weber. John and Jackie were proud residents of the Portage des Sioux community and when they weren’t tending to their garden, koi pond or the flowers in the yard Jackie loved going on golf cart rides in town where she would visit and catch up with all of her friends.

Jackie’s love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was evident through her dedication and ability to never miss a sporting event (baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, or track meet) recital or other activity when she was healthy and able to enjoy those events. Jackie was also a much beloved aunt and friend to many.

Whether it was 25 + years running her in-home beauty shop or 19 years as the “lunch lady” in the Orchard Farm school district, her professional life also saw her spreading joy and cheer to those around her.

In addition to her loving husband John, Jackie is survived by her beloved children, Annette Echele (Larry), Terry Weber (Susan), and Kelly Smith (Kevin); her grandchildren, Abbey Arrow (Kevin), Emily Klackner (Austin), Dustin Weber (Lexie), Lindsey Groshong (Colton), Kennedy, Kassidy, and Korbin Smith; her great-grandchildren, Beckham Weber, Lydia Groshong, and Cooper Klackner, and her sister, Michele Wilkinson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by her infant twin grandsons, Keegan and Kolton Smith; her parents, Gordon and Audrey Julian; and her sisters, Sharon Simon and Debra Edwards.

Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1355 Farnham St, Portage Des Sioux, MO 63373, on September 29th, 2026 at 9:00am and Funeral Mass at 11:00am.
