James A. Eggert Jr.

James A. Eggert Jr., born on February 11, 1955, passed away on April 10, 2026. He was a devoted family man and an individual who found great joy in caring for his beloved dogs and nurturing his garden, pursuits that reflected his gentle and attentive nature.

James is survived by his mother, Cordelia (the late Robert) Frank, and his brother Steven Eggert, along with Steven’s wife, Nancy. He is also remembered fondly by his two sisters, Cheryl Milligan and her husband Chris, and Veronica Milligan and her husband Andy. Additionally, James is survived by his brother-in-law, Charlie Milligan.

His loving legacy continues through his daughter Regina Deichman and her husband Eric, as well as his son, James Eggert III. James was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Joshua, Kaylee, Caden, and Eliana Deichman. He is also remembered by a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

James was preceded in death by his father, James Alfred Eggert, Sr., and two sisters, Linda Eggert and Susan Milligan. Their memories remain an integral part of the family’s history.

A committal service will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, the date and time are currently pending. 

Throughout his life, James inspired those around him with his quiet dedication and compassionate spirit. His commitment to his family and his simple pleasures remain a testament to the warmth and kindness that characterized his years. James A. Eggert Jr. will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
