James William “Jim” Jenkins, 77, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born December 30, 1948, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Jim proudly served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971 and was honorably discharged. While serving in the Navy, he met Patricia Woychik, his wife of 35 years.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Jim enjoyed a successful career in logistics, accounting, and corporate management with the Solo Cup Company. He lived much of his life in Knoxville, Tennessee and Gurnee, Illinois.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Jenkins; stepdaughter Amanda (Okazaki) Hartman (husband, Daniel) of Wilmette, Illinois; stepson Eric Okazaki of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandchildren Malia, Kai, Kaito, Keina, Erica, and Iwa; sister Janet Jenkins of Fort Dodge, Iowa; brother Jerry (Joy) Jenkins of Charles City, Iowa and his many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Joanne and a brother, Jeff.

Jim’s passion was riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and he treasured the many miles and memories shared with his best friend, Mike Hartman. Jim also leaves behind his long-time friend, Scott Palmer of Mitchell, South Dakota.

Funeral Mass and burial will be held on August 8, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Independence, Wisconsin. Military rites will be conducted by Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post 186.

Jim will be remembered for his loyalty, quiet strength, devotion to family, and love of the open road.
