James Paul Vieth

James (Jim) Paul Vieth of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from complications related to ongoing cancer treatment.

Jim was born on January 3, 1962, the beloved son of the late Paul Vieth. On August 15, 1987, he married the love of his life, Casey Vieth, née Whitehead. They shared 39 years of devoted love. He was the dedicated father of Mackenzie (Josh) Ballenot and Mason Vieth, and the doting grandfather of Joshua and Holly.

Jim was a selfless servant, a stubborn ox, an armchair comedian, a family man, a trusted employee, cancer’s worst nightmare, an amateur bourbon connoisseur, a steadfast Chiefs fan, and a friend to so many.

Most importantly, Jim is a beloved baptized son of the Heavenly Father, whom he sought to emulate in his daily words and deeds. He now rests in his Heavenly Father’s embrace with family and friends who have gone before him. For those who knew him, life is better because they did.
