Listen to Obituary

Jeffrey Ryan Bertillo, known affectionately to family and friends as Jeff, passed away on April 22, 2026, in St. Peters, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, determination, and warmth. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 22, 1980, Jeff was a man who embraced life’s moments with a humor and spirit that endeared him to those around him.

Jeff’s life was richly woven with the special relationships he nurtured, especially with his beloved daughter, Sofia Bertillo. Sofía was truly his pride and joy—his most cherished accomplishment and the light of his life. Together with his loving parents, Paul and BeGee Bertillo, and his devoted partner, Becca Grenado, Jeff built a foundation of love, laughter, and togetherness that shaped who he was.

Known for his determination and sharp intellect—though he often humbly downplayed his own brilliance—Jeff had a passion for home renovation projects. One of his proudest achievements was restoring the first house he and his father, Paul, entirely remodeled together, a testament not only to his skill but to the deep bond they shared. These projects were more than just physical spaces; they were stories of shared effort and dreams realized.

Memories of Jeff are marked by simple yet profound joys: sitting late into the night with his mother, BeGee, engaging in heartfelt conversations at the backyard table; spending time outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and company; or going out and socializing with his partner, Becca. These moments capture the essence of a man who loved connection and the comfort of those closest to him.

Jeff’s warmth extended beyond his immediate family, encompassing the cherished memories of those who preceded him, including his grandparents Florine and Scott Izatt and Tina and Joe Bertillo, as well as his uncle Joe Bertillo. Though they are gone, their spirits live on in Jeff’s heart and in the stories he carried forward.

Friends and family will gather to honor Jeff’s memory and celebrate his life at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, on May 8, 2026. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a time for all who knew and loved Jeff to come together, share their stories, and find comfort in one another’s presence.
