Jerry Arnold Malin passed away peacefully at home with his daughter on June 12, 2026. Born on April 11, 1941, in Birch Tree, Missouri, Jerry lived a life rich with love, adventure, and a steadfast commitment to his country. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Malin and Ethel King, and his siblings James, Jean, and Johnny. He is survived by his beloved sister Jan.

Jerry was a vibrant soul, known for his social nature and a sense of humor as wide as the Missouri skies under which he was raised. A true social butterfly, he brought laughter and joy to every room with his goofy charm and strong-willed spirit. Those who knew Jerry knew his stubbornness, but recognized the deep passion he held for the things he loved most.
Jerry found peace and exhilaration in the great outdoors taking great pleasure in hunting and fishing along the river. He took special care in nurturing plants in his garden, and studying birds. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Jerry was also a highly skilled darts player, a testament to his dedication, and competitive spirit.
Jerry was a man of honor and service. His dedication extended beyond his hobbies to his country, having served with pride in the United States Army. He remained connected to his military roots through memberships at AMVETS Post #106 and VFW Post #9064. His respect and love for those he served alongside shaped much of his life’s philosophy and friendships.
