Jerry Uskiwich

Jerry Uskiwich, born on June 1, 1943, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy cherished by family and friends alike.

Jerry’s life was a testament to dedication, warmth, and wholehearted involvement. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Cathi Uskiwich, with whom he shared years of companionship and support; together, they enjoyed the adventures that traveling brought and the joy of simply being in each other’s company.

Family was at the heart of Jerry’s world. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Patrick) Nisbet, and two sons, John (Lori) Uskiwich and Matt (Paula) Uskiwich. His love and guidance extended to his grandchildren: Joshua Jamison, Jeremy (Claire) Jamison, The late Danielle (Survivied by Jason Wright) Uskiwich, Allison Nisbet, Joseph Nisbet, Daniel Nisbet, Lauren (Dylan Clubb) Uskiwich, Timothy (Morgan McCourt) Uskiwich, and Jack (Meta Schlimpert) Uskiwich. Jerry’s family tree further blossomed with the arrival of his great-grandchildren: Amory Jamison, Carter Jamison, Gordon Jamison, Henry Jamison, Roman Jamison, and Arthur Jamison. His influence as a patriarch was felt across every generation.

Jerry was also the beloved brother of Barbara (The late Thomas) Fischer and Betsy (The late Gary) Stoff, and held a special place in the hearts of his brother-in-law John (Becky) Lydon and sister-in-law Debi Price. His familial bonds reached even beyond his immediate household, connecting with extended loved ones and friends. Jerry’s memory is also honored by those who preceded him in death: his father, Paul Uskiwich; his mother, Cornelia Uskiwich. 

In his younger years, Jerry was an avid bowler, embracing the camaraderie and friendly competition it afforded. Throughout his life, Jerry demonstrated a remarkable commitment to nurturing not only his own family but also the wider community. He was a dedicated coach for all of his children's soccer and baseball teams, instilling in them the values of teamwork, persistence, and sportsmanship. Gardening was one of Jerry’s great passions—he found immense satisfaction in cultivating beauty and bounty from the earth. His love of grilling brought family and friends together for countless joyful gatherings, where stories and laughter were shared.

Above all, Jerry derived the most joy from time spent with his grandchildren, whose milestones and achievements filled him with pride. His presence at family events and in daily life was a constant source of strength and encouragement—a legacy that endures in those who survive him.

Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at the visitation to be held on August 20, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376. A memorial service will follow at the same location at 12:30 PM. 

Jerry Uskiwich’s impact was profound and lasting. His life’s work—both within his family and throughout his community—is honored by those who continue to celebrate his memory.
