A man defined by his resoluteness and deep capacity for love, Mike lived a life marked by devotion to his family and a profound appreciation for the simple joys found in nature.

From his earliest days, Mike carried with him a resilient spirit, influenced by his beginnings in St. Louis and the values instilled by his parents, John and Virginia Cash, both of whom now rest in peace. Those traits shaped a life dedicated to those he cared about most—his children and grandchildren, who were the true center of his universe.

Mike’s love for the outdoors was not just a pastime but a vital thread woven into the story of his life. He found solace and happiness in the quiet moments spent fishing or wandering through the countryside, where the natural world seemed to echo the steadfastness of his character. His family was his greatest joy. Survivors include his son Bob (Debbie), daughters Tracy, Tina (Collin), Grace (Sam), and son Matthew. He was also a proud grandfather to Lee, Jessy (Ray), and Aidan. Each of them carries a part of Mike’s spirit—his strength, his warmth, and his enduring love.

Though Mike could be unyielding in his ways, it was this stubbornness that also revealed a heart fiercely protective and devoted. He approached life with a commitment that inspired those around him, teaching lessons of perseverance and love not through words alone, but through example.
