John Edward Watkins went home with the Lord on January 3, 2017 after a long illness.
John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Watkins; 7 children John (Tracy) Watkins, Jr., Tracy (Rob) Skaggs, Geraldine "Jerry" Watkins, Melinda (Aaron) Koenig, Melissa (Stacy) Stevens, David (Kelly) Watkins and Mark (Megan) Watkins; 2 brothers Robert and Richard Watkins; 2 sisters Dora Davis and Geraldine Kennon; 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Bob and Lorean (nee Williams) Watkins and a grandson Steve Viviano.
John is a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A welder for many years at Cummings Welding Shop, a long time residence of Pevely, Missouri.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 7th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the 1st Baptist Church in Herculaneum-Pevely 1315 Abbey Ln, Pevely, MO 63070.
