John "Will" William Davis, a devoted science teacher with over 30 years of experience, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, in Creve Coeur, Missouri, at the age of 84. Born on May 11, 1940, in Keokuk, Iowa, Will dedicated his life to the education and inspiration of young minds, leaving a lasting impression on thousands of students throughout his distinguished career.
Will was known not only for his educational contributions but also for his deep love and wonder for nature and the outdoors. He approached life with a gentle warmth that endeared him to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Will had a unique talent for weaving rhymes and poetry, often delighting friends and family with his creative expressions.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Davis, and their two sons, Brad (Teresa) Davis and Steve (Kristen) Davis. Will was also a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren, Isaac and Vivian Davis. In addition to his immediate family, he will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews who carry fond memories of their times spent together.
Will was preceded in death by his sister, Winona Ray, and his brother, Donald Davis. Their memories remain in the hearts of his family as they navigate this profound loss.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation and funeral service, which will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. The visitation will take place on December 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM.
As we remember Will, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and a legacy of kindness and wisdom. His spirit will continue to inspire those who had the honor of being touched by his presence.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
