Joseph was the proud founder of J. Patrico and Sons Cement Contractors, which he established in 1979. His career, spanning nearly three decades, was marked by his strong work ethic and deep pride in the craftsmanship he provided. Joseph loved to embrace life's simple pleasures. He found joy in family traditions, apple picking, float trips, skiing adventures, and days spent boating and RV camping. He made it a priority to wash his car every day, showcasing his attention to detail and passion for maintaining the things he loved.

He is survived by numerous grandchildren, including Alysse (Tommy), Emily (Adam), Anna (Paul), Allison (Parker), Joseph, Lily, Jack, Sophia, Alex, Nicole, Jacob (Bailey), Katie (Zack), Payton (Ryan), Paige, Abby, Jackson, Benny, Connor, Kennedey, Landon, Kerrigan, Noah, Gavin, Collin, June, and Nicholas, as well as great-grandchildren Beckham, Sadie, Mia, Scottie, and Sunny.
