Joyce A. Thiele

Joyce Ann Thiele, age 86, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on October 8th in St. Charles.

Joyce was born on December 30th, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Roy and Ruth Cawthon.

Joyce worked as a dining room manager, retail clerk, sweet shop manager, but left her greatest legacy as a devoted military spouse and wife, protective mother, spirited grandmother, and happy-to-be great- grandmother. People who knew Joyce knew her spirited personality.

She is survived by her four children, Richard Dean Thiele, Karen Kay Bixler, Roley Allen Thiele, Michelle Diane Kohler, and their spouses. Joyce had six grandchildren: Rebecca Ann Eley, Rachel Elizabeth Price, Lauren Claire Thiele, Madison Jean Koop, Clayton James Bixler, and Riley Kay Kohler, and great- grandchild Josephine (Jae) Eley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dean Thiele, mother, Ruth Ann Cawthon, father, Roy Leonard Cawthon, brothers James Cawthon, Roy Leonard Cawthon III, sisters, Lois Neely and Gloria Dean Stringer.

A celebration of life will be held at Newcomer’s Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri on October 13th at 1:00. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30-1:00.
