Judith M. Meinders

Judith M. Meinders (Dodson), 89, passed away October 3, 2026.

Judy was born on July 21, 1937 in Springfield, Illinois to Harvey A. Dodson and Dorothea E. Dodson (Kalb).  She is survived by her daughters, Marsha Patelke and Jackie Guebert (husband Terry); two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

After high school Judy pursued an education and career in public education.  She began as a grade school teacher with the Springfield Public School System, eventually specializing in reading.  By the end of her career she was a middle school assistant principal.  Upon retiring, she started her own business designing and organizing closets.  Judy also volunteered at the historic Frank Lloyd Wright Dana Thomas house in Springfield for many years.
