Listen to Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Judy G. Youngman on May 18, 2026, in Chesterfield, Missouri. Born on September 3, 1941, in Paragould, Arkansas, Judy’s early years were marked by a significant move as she relocated with her family to St. Louis during her early teens, a change that set the stage for the vibrant life she would lead.

Judy was a woman full of life and vitality, carrying herself with the spirit and exuberance of someone much younger than her years. She loved going to work, where her sociable nature shone brightly, finding joy in being around people and engaging with those she met. Her love for family was deep and enduring—whether it was through family gatherings filled with friendly card games and board games, or in the quiet affection she showed for the family dogs and cats. Although she modestly acknowledged not being the best at games, it was the togetherness that mattered most to her.

Her interests were wide-ranging and thoughtful. Judy stayed keenly informed about the world around her, always engaged politically and aware of current events. She had a passion for shopping, which brought her simple joys and moments of relaxation.

Among Judy’s proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. The family she nurtured was her greatest treasure, along with the home she lovingly maintained and called her own.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Lisa Barbeau, sons William Youngman and Geoffrey (Kathy) Youngman; grandchildren Kathleen (Scott Huang) Youngman-Huang and John Youngman; as well as great-grandchildren Imogen Huang and Pippa Huang. Judy also leaves behind her beloved brother Fred (Sue) Boone, and cousins Barb Gramling, Patty Boone, Jean Jones, Donna Jones, and Joan VanCleve, all of whom carry forward her memory with love.

Judy was preceded in death by her father Charles Joseph Boone, her mother Rebecca Jane Boone, and her sister Janie Boone.

Friends and family are invited to honor Judy’s life at a visitation on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, West County, located at 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63017.

Judy G. Youngman’s warmth, vitality, and love for life will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
