Kelly Jean Thornton, born May 26, 1973, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Kelly was the proudest mother in the world to her beloved children, Jason Thornton and Emmalee Cusumano, who were truly the center of her life and the greatest joy in her heart. She loved them beyond measure and devoted herself fully to their happiness and well-being.
She leaves behind her loving mother and best friend, Glenna, and her father, James; her brothers Greg (Devon) and Tim (Krista); along with many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and loved ones.
One of Kelly’s greatest joys in life was being an aunt. She absolutely adored her nieces and nephews — Austin, Allison, Autumn, Lilyana, and Alexander — and took immense pride in watching them grow. Whether through laughter, encouragement, special memories, or simply being there whenever they needed her, Kelly loved each of them deeply and treasured the special bond she shared with them.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Jason, and grandparents Norma and Glenn Adams and Oliver and Irene Thornton.
Kelly had a heart of gold and a kindness that touched everyone who knew her. She radiated warmth, compassion, and light, always putting the needs of her family and loved ones before her own. Her gentle spirit, caring nature, and unconditional love made people feel welcomed, comforted, and valued.
She was a devoted Disney fan who loved making memories with her family. Kelly also enjoyed bingo, shopping, laughter-filled gatherings, and spending time with the people she treasured most. She loved fiercely, gave generously, and leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving soul, beautiful heart, and unwavering devotion to her family.
