Kenneth Wayne Wadlow, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 71, after having the opportunity to spend time with family.
Ken was born on March 4, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Cecil Wadlow and Glorwanda Pierce. He spent his life building a career with Hunter Engineering, where he worked for many years to support his family and made many friends along the way.
Ken is survived by his children, Stacey Wadlow, Brandon Steinbruegg, Cassandra Morr, DeAnna Clubb, and Kendra McClune; his 10 grandchildren; his 2 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Gene Brown and Judy Anderson; his brother, Roger; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Aarons, and his daughter, Christina Cipoth.
Ken loved being a Papa. He made a point of checking in on his grandchildren, spending time with them, and keeping up with what was going on in their lives. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with the people around him, including his neighbor and friend, Dan. He was also always working on something, especially cars, and could often be found tinkering with or fixing something.
Those who knew Ken will remember his sense of humor, his quick wit, and, of course, his streak of stubbornness. He was kind and loyal to those he loved and was known to leave a generous tip. Above all, Ken wanted people to get along and did not like to see anyone miserable.
In keeping with Ken’s spirit, in lieu of flowers, please consider giving a generous tip to someone deserving or doing something kind for someone in need.
Ken will be deeply missed by his family and friends and will be forever remembered.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held Sunday, October 4, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters. Family and friends are invited to visit from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Kenneth will be laid to rest at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Arcadia alongside his mother and other family members at a later date.
