Larry Paul Huskey, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, left this world peacefully at home in Arnold, Missouri, on January 29, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on September 13, 1961, in Festus, Missouri, Larry lived a life marked by unwavering faith, benevolence, and a passion for community.
Larry was a proud graduate of Fox High School, class of 1979. He served his country honorably in the United States Army, embodying the qualities of service and dedication. But it was in his personal life where Larry truly made his mark, as he became known as a strong man of faith who uplifted those around him. His fervent belief in the power of prayer guided him throughout his life, as he remained a constant source of support and love to his friends and loved ones.
As a father, he was his children's biggest cheerleader. He loved fiercely and devotedly, instilling in them values that would serve them throughout their lives. His children, Adam (Anne) Huskey, Andrea (Jared) Crane, Derrick (Nichole) Huskey, Nathan (Laura) Huskey, and Tucker Huskey, along with his eleven beloved grandchildren, were the most important people in his life. He found immense joy in watching them thrive, and they filled his heart with pride and happiness; he cherished every moment spent with them.
Larry had an undeniable passion for bowling, a sport that he shared with countless individuals in his community. He was not just a participant but a beacon and mentor within the bowling community, founding the SEED Program to guide and support young bowlers as they developed their skills and connected with professionals in the field. He embodied the spirit of community, always eager to lend a hand and encourage others in their pursuits.
He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed not only by his family but also by his many lifelong friends and members of the bowling community whose lives he touched. Larry's sisters, Mary Huskey and Beverly Rath, and his brother, David (Kristen) Huskey, grieve his passing alongside his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Paul John Huskey, and his mother, Sylvia Jean Huskey, who instilled in him the values that shaped him into the man he became.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Larry on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Encounter Church in Arnold, Missouri, lead by Senior Pastor and close friend, Ed Callahan. This gathering will be a testament to his legacy as a loving man of faith, dedicated to uplifting those around him, and reaffirming the importance of connection to Jesus Christ for family and friends alike.
Larry Paul Huskey leaves behind a legacy written in love, faith, and community—a true testament to a life well-lived. As we remember him, may we carry forward his spirit of generosity, kindness, and devotion.
