Larry Pearson, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on September 28, 1944, Larry was a beacon of love and strength for his family and community throughout his life.
Larry dedicated 35 years to his career as a valued employee at Laclede Gas, demonstrating both his commitment to his work and his support for his colleagues. Beyond his professional achievements, he proudly served his country as a veteran of the Army, embodying the values of honor and dedication.
Larry was an enthusiastic traveler. He was also known for his remarkable culinary skills, particularly during family holidays where he would cook and grill exquisite meals, bringing the whole family together in joyous celebration. His home was a hub of love and laughter, often filled with the aromas of his delicious dishes, and he took great pride in creating memorable moments for his loved ones.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Pearson, who remained steadfast by his side through all of life's journeys. He is also survived by his two daughters, Angela (Robert) Pearson Latham and Amy Pearson, along with two sons, Larry (Jenifer) Pearson and Eric (Sarah) Pearson. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren, Daniel (Rachel) DeVivo, Carolyn DeVivo, Alexander Stumpf, Samantha Stumpf, Dylan Latham, and Morgan Latham, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Lucy DeVivo and Carter House. Additionally, Larry is survived by his sister, Evelyn Davidson, and a host of other family members and friends who will remember him dearly.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Peter E. Pearson; his mother, Ingeborg M. Pearson; and seven brothers: Bud Pearson, Edwin Pearson, Melvin Pearson, Alvin Pearson, Dennis Pearson, Dale Pearson, and Carroll Pearson; as well as two sisters, Irene Stromstad and Darlene Roseen. His passing leaves a profound sorrow in the hearts of many.
A visitation honoring Larry’s life will take place on November 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376. A Mass will be celebrated in memory of Larry on November 7, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, located at 403 N Main St, O'Fallon, MO 63366, concluding with a heartfelt farewell at 11:30 AM.
As we mourn the loss of Larry Pearson, we also celebrate the remarkable life he lived, his unwavering devotion to family, and his indelible impact on those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.
