Lawrence Robert Letford Jr.

Lawrence Robert Letford, age 86 Years, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on November 23, 2023 in St. Peters, MO. He was born in St. Louis, MO on December 21, 1936 to Lawrence and Barbara Letford (nee Dengler).

Lawrence was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. After serving, he worked as a machinist for several companies including Combustion Engineering and Mark Andy. After retiring, he worked as a security guard for Securitas.

Lawrence was an avid baseball fan and particularly loved cheering on his favorite team the St. Louis Cardinals.

Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Cleo Letford (nee Haubner); son, Eric Letford; two daughters, Julie Letford, Mary (Stan) Molenda; Grandson, Jordan (Anna) Molenda; granddaughter, Jessica Molenda; two great-grandchildren, Justin Molenda, Odin Molenda; Brother, Brian Letford; two sister-In-Laws, Mary Jo Letford, Bette Letford; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his Father, Lawrence Robert Letford; Mother, Barbara Eva Letford; Two Brothers, George Letford, Terry Letford; Sister, Barbara Kinealy; and Sister-In-Law, Violet Letford.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376. A funeral ceremony will take place the following morning, November 30, 2023, at 10:30am also at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
