Lennart Hansen, a gentle soul born on November 25, 1939, in Svendborg, Denmark, peacefully departed this world on February 11, 2026, in O'Fallon, Missouri. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Lennart was celebrated for his loving nature and easy-going spirit. He brought joy to everyone around him with his warm demeanor and a heart full of love.

Lennart's journey took him from Denmark to Canada and finally to the United States, where he served his country with honor in the United States Army. He spent precious moments stationed in Germany, taking pride in his military service throughout his life. After his service, he furthered his education at Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, Missouri, honing the skills that would shape his successful career as a machinist with Crane National Vendor. Following retirement, Lennart found fulfillment as an activities driver for Breeze Park Care Center. He cherished the time spent with the residents, deriving immense joy from their interactions and the smiles he could bring to their faces.

In his personal life, Lennart shared many beautiful memories with his loving wife, Judy Hansen. The couple found solace in the warmth of Texas winters, where they would escape the cold and soak up the sun together, creating cherished moments that lit up their lives. Lennart's eyes sparkled with delight whenever he was surrounded by his grandchildren; his love for them was profound and evident.

He was not only a loving family man but also a passionate soccer enthusiast. Throughout his life, he embraced the sport, remaining an avid player who inspired those around him with his dedication and zeal.

Lennart's family remembers him fondly for his unwavering support and affection. His loving wife, Judy, alongside their children, Tammy (Joe Lukachick) Hansen, Lisa (Kenneth) Sales, and Matthew Hansen, step-sons, Michael (Missy) Long and Dennis (Pat) Long, and brothers, Kim (Winnie) Hansen and Bo (Debbie) Hansen, will forever carry his legacy in their hearts. Lennart was also blessed with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, leaving behind a lineage that reflects his love and values.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Regnar and Ella Hansen, his son, Joseph Hansen, his sister, Liz Hansen, and his granddaughter, Kaytlen Sales, whose memory will be forever cherished.

A visitation in honor of Lennart will take place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, followed by a funeral service on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM*, concluding at the same location. He will be laid to rest in Our Lady Cemetery, Lake St. Louis.

Lennart Hansen's life was a testament to love, kindness, and family. His legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and admiration.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lennart's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
