Linda Lee Runyon, born on September 6, 1948, passed away peacefully due to complications of Alzheimer's on June 16, 2025. She was a cherished individual whose warmth and love touched the lives of many around her. Linda was known for her vibrant spirit and her love for being around people. She found joy in cooking for her family and friends, creating countless memories around the table. She was a beautiful soul.
Linda is survived by her two daughters, Mary Prince and Melinda (A. Bjorn) Runyon-Haydar; two sons, Robert Runyon and Dustin Runyon; six grandchildren, Randall (Park) Runyon, Dylan (Megan) Nelson, Anthony Severn, Kourtney Prince, Bjorn Haydar, and Mercy Haydar; and her three great-grandchildren, Maxine Runyon, Haylee Nelson, Dean Nelson (Swartz). She is also survived by her three brothers, Jerry (Doris) Dodd, Paul Dodd, and Johnny Montgomery; her sister, Mary Jo (Larry) Manion; and a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Lavenda Kearby; her father, Joe Dodd; and her sister, Gail Wright. The love and memories shared with Linda will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A visitation will be held on June 20, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. A funeral service will follow from 12:00 PM at the same location. Linda will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Jonesburg City Cemetery from 2:00 PM.
Though Linda has departed from this world, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through her family and friends.
