For an astounding 53 years, Linda dedicated her life to her career as a beautician under the guidance of Mr. Daniels. Her passion for beautification didn't just stem from her professional training at cosmetology school; it was a true reflection of her kind and warm personality. An extrovert at heart, Linda never met a stranger. Her fun-loving nature and outgoing spirit allowed her to engage in conversations with everyone she encountered, leaving an impression of generosity and kindness that will forever resonate.

Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved attending services at Christview Christian Church, where she drew strength and inspiration from her faith. Reading was another cherished pastime, a gateway through which she explored various worlds and ideas, enriching her already vibrant life.

Among Linda's proudest accomplishments was her enduring marriage to her loving husband, Martin Thurstin, with whom she shared 61 blissful years. They were married on August 11, 1962 in Hawk Point, Missouri. Their love story is one filled with mutual respect, laughter, and a promise to never go to bed angry, a testament to a bond that will echo through the memories of those they touched.

Linda leaves behind a beloved son, James Stacy (Miriam) Cowles, and cherished siblings including Ray Brandt, Bonita (David) Martin, and Judith Skaggs. Her family tree also extends joyfully to a very special nephew, Eugene Brandt, alongside countless other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who adored her.
