It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved father, brother, uncle, Papa, and friend, Lloyd Edward Brunkhorst, who went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born on September 7, 1936, in Festus, Missouri, Lloyd lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, determination, and faith.
Lloyd was a devoted husband and father who cherished his wife and family, sharing 68 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved Annette. He could figure out how to do or fix just about anything, often putting his many talents to use helping others. He had a genuine love for people, was a friend to all, and approached life with enthusiasm, a positive outlook, and a can-do attitude. A man with a plan, Lloyd made things happen with determination, resourcefulness, and a willingness to to help anyone in need.
He was the loving husband of the late Annette Jo Brunkhorst and is survived by his three children: Gregory, Rhonda, and Neal; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy and pride.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Paul's Family Ministry in Lloyd's honor.
There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 from 12:30 until 1:30 pm; a service to immediately follow at 1:30 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Des Peres, Missouri. Following the service, please join us at Rosalita's Cantina in Des Peres, Missouri at 3:00 pm for a time of fellowship as we continue celebrating the lives of our belove parents, Lloyd and Annette. We would love to hear your stories and memories of them.
Lloyd's love, wisdom, determination, and joyful spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who knew him. While our hearts are heavy, we find peace and comfort in knowing that he is now in the loving arms of his precious friend and Savior, Jesus.
