Louise Mezo, born on July 18, 1940, departed this life on January 21, 2026. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and spirit had a profound impact on those who knew her.
Louise is survived by her two sons, Dan (Jan) Mezo and Steve Mezo; two daughters, Shari Mezo and Beverly Mezo; eight grandchildren, Charles Bailey, Tasha Mezo, Adam Surls, Rj (Tami) Bailey, Amber (Cody) Reeves, Brad (Angel) Mezo, Christina Farrelly, and Cj Farrelly; nine great-grandchildren, Austin Hayes, Declan Surls, Lexi Bailey, Carter Bailey, Allie Bailey, Colton Farrelly, Emmett Bailey, Chanel Farrelly, and Trim Reeves; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Hall, her mother, Mildred Opal Hall, her daughter, Cyndi Surls, and her brother, Jim Hall.
An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, Louise possessed a vibrant spirit that embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved visiting the casino and enjoyed time spent on the boat. However, nothing brought her more joy than the cherished moments spent with her family. Particularly dear to her heart were the Friday date nights with her great-grandson, Colton, which she always looked forward to as special occasions.
Visitation services will be held on January 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, MO. The memorial service is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Louise to join them in honoring her memory and celebrating her remarkable life.
Louise Mezo will be remembered for her love, laughter, and the lasting impressions she made on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
