Luzlie Ann Phillips

Luzlie Ann Phillips, née Glosemeyer, whose laughter and warmth illuminated every space she entered, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, just one month shy of her 64th birthday. Born on August 26, 1962, also in St. Louis, Luzlie’s life was marked by an abundance of joy, a deep devotion to family, and an infectious, bubbly spirit that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

As a daughter to the late Richard and Carolyn Glosemeyer, Luzlie grew up in a household that cherished simple pleasures—a legacy she carried forward throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to Gregory Phillips, with whom she built a loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and the smells of her wonderful cooking and baking.

Luzlie was a proud and loving mother, and she counted her sons as her proudest accomplishments. She is survived by her sons Michael (Kristi) Glosemeyer and Kyle Phillips, whose achievements and happiness were ever a source of fulfillment and pride for her. Though she endured the heartbreak of losing her dear son Brian Phillips, Luzlie’s strength and resilient love remained an inspiration to her family.

Grandmotherhood brought Luzlie new joys and adventures. Her grandchildren—Kaiden Glosemeyer, Khloe Loyd, Mariah Glosemeyer, and Macie Glosemeyer—were the light of her later years. Luzlie’s home was the gathering place for fun crafting sessions and the irresistible aroma of fresh-baked cookies and cupcakes, which quickly became family favorites among the grandkids. She found true delight in these simple, creative moments, passing on love and laughter to the next generation.

Gardening was another of Luzlie’s passions. She took tremendous pride in tending both flowers and vegetables, and it was rare to visit her home without finding her herb garden flourishing on the deck, ready to contribute fresh flavors to her delicious cooking. She found peace and purpose with her hands in the soil, cultivating beauty and nourishment for her loved ones.

Luzlie will be remembered for her radiant, bubbly personality. She was a woman who reveled in laughter and delighted in life’s small pleasures. Her home was an ever-welcoming haven, kept spotless and cozy, a testament to her love of cleanliness and homemaking. No birthday or holiday was complete without her signature treats—her cookies and cupcakes, lovingly made and always in high demand by young and old alike.

Among her surviving family, Luzlie also leaves behind four siblings, their roles in her story are deeply felt.

To all who knew her—family, friends, community—Luzlie was a constant source of joy, kindness, and unwavering support. Her vibrant spirit, loving heart, and cheerful laughter have left an indelible mark that will be treasured always.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Family, friends, and all who wish to pay their respects are welcome to join in celebrating Luzlie’s remarkable life, sharing stories, and remembering the gift that she was to each of us.

Though our hearts ache at her passing, Luzlie Ann Phillips gifted us all with countless memories, the warmth of her embrace, and the joy of her laughter—her legacy will live on, radiant and unforgotten, in those she loved so dearly.
