Marilynn Howell, devoted wife of Richard Howell and loving mother of Angela Howell, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28th 2025 surrounded by family. Marilynn was born Feb.18,1945 in Murphysboro IL along with her twin brother Bo.
A member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Chester IL, her faith in Our Lord was central to how she lived her life. Marilynn was always caring for others whether family, friend, or stranger. Marilynn graduated from Chester High School in 1963 and married her high school sweetheart Richard on Nov.16, 1963. Together they raised one daughter, Angela. After retiring she and Richard loved to travel in their RV and then Fifth Wheel camper seeing the country.
Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents Elsie and Wilbert Casten, brothers Gene Casten & Marion (Bo) Casten.
She is survived by her husband Richard Howell, daughter Angela Howell, and brother Bruce Casten.
Marilynn was fond of St. Judes Children's Research Hospital. Memorial gifts can be donated in Marilynn's name at StJude.org
