Listen to Obituary

Marion Ruth Coyle, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 29, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri. Born on September 29, 1924, in Brownsville, Tennessee, Marion's remarkable life of 101 years was a testament to her enduring love, wisdom, and compassion.

Marion’s journey began in the heart of Tennessee, where she was born to Noble Stanley and Ruth (John) Bailey. Her early years were filled with the warmth of family, shaped by the love of her parents and the companionship of her sister, Jean (Tom) Kilgore. Throughout her lifetime, Marion carried with her the values instilled by her upbringing—a deep commitment to those she loved and an unwavering resiliency in the face of life’s many adventures and challenges.

She was united in marriage to her beloved Floyd Lee Coyle, Sr., creating a partnership marked by deep mutual respect and devotion. Together they built a legacy grounded in kindness and unity. Though Floyd preceded her in death, the love they shared endured, living on in the hearts and lives of those who followed.

Marion’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She leaves behind her adored children: Noble E. (Patty) Coyle, Floyd E. (Meg) Coyle, and Diana L. (Terry) Kepford. The gentle guidance and steadfast support she provided to her children echoed for generations. Her heart expanded with the arrival of 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. Each one held a special place in her heart, and her legacy will be cherished through the stories, traditions, and memories shared with them.

While time brought great joy in welcoming new additions to the family, Marion also felt the sorrow of saying goodbye to loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved Floyd, her parents, Noble Stanley and Ruth (John) Bailey, and her dear sister, Jean (Tom) Kilgore. Their memories remained vivid blessings throughout her life.

Marion’s enduring presence and quiet strength touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for the gentle light she brought into every room, her unwavering encouragement, and her boundless love for her family. Her loss leaves a void in many lives, but her influence will continue in the warmth, laughter, and love that ripple out from her family and beyond.
