Mark Milton Collins, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on August 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 8, 1957, in Chesterfield, Missouri, Mark spent his life dedicated to both his family and his work.
For over 40 years, Mark worked tirelessly at Crown Windows, a job he adored. His co-workers became like a family to him. His dedication and strong work ethic served as an inspiration to many.
Mark's personality was full of laughter, love, and a profound sense of dedication. He was always the first to lend a helping hand. His laid-back demeanor balanced perfectly with his headstrong spirit – a man who worked hard, but never lost sight of the joy of life. Mark's easy going nature made everyone around him feel at ease.
At home, Mark found his greatest joy in the company of his beloved wife, Susan Collins, to whom he was married for an incredible 46 years. Their relationship was a testament to true partnership; no matter the task, whether big or small, being together was what mattered most to him. Mark also took immense pride in his role as a father to his loving daughters, Diana Collins and Kelly (Greg) Baker. As a grandfather, he was super dedicated, cherishing every moment spent with his grandchildren, Autumn Baker and Gregory Baker III. Playing games such as Mario Kart and Uno brought him immeasurable joy, as did spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and gardening.
The adventure and laughter didn’t stop at home. Mark, along with his family, made countless memories on trips to Sanibel Island, creating a lifetime of cherished experiences that will continue to warm the hearts of those he leaves behind. Mark had a unique fascination with paranormal shows, often sharing these shows with his grandchildren. Mark also enjoyed woodworking, creating tables with shells he found at Sanibel Island for all to enjoy.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Collins, his loving daughters, Diana Collins and Kelly (Greg) Baker, his grandchildren, Autumn Baker and Gregory Baker III, and his brother Gary (Susan) Collins. He also leaves behind his Aunt Ceil Hill, alongside many other family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Milton and Kathleen Collins, and his Aunt Doris Andrae, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
As we say goodbye to Mark, we hold onto the light he brought into our lives – a gentle reminder to appreciate every moment, to work hard, and to love deeply.
