Mark Russell Floyd, born on January 30, 1971, was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend who left this world on September 8, 2025. His life was marked by a passion for the great outdoors and the simple pleasures that came from being surrounded by nature. Mark found joy in hunting and fishing, where he spent many memorable days with his loyal companion, Opie. This faithful family dog not only accompanied him on many hunting adventures but also served as a cherished friend throughout his life.
Mark had a keen interest in motorsports and embraced the thrill that came with it. He was also a talented woodworker, demonstrating creativity and skill through various projects that showcased his ability to build and create. These hobbies provided him with a sense of fulfillment and a way to express his adventurous and artistic side.
Family was at the heart of Mark’s existence. He took immense pride in his children, Emily and Luke, and delighted in watching them grow into the remarkable adults they have become. Every moment spent together was a treasure, and he eagerly anticipated becoming a grandfather to his new grandbaby, a role he was incredibly excited about.
Mark is survived by his wife, Jennifer Floyd; daughter, Emily Floyd; son, Luke (Lauren) Floyd; two brothers, Darin (Kelly) Floyd and Brad (Debby) Floyd; along with a host of other family members and friends who will remember him with love and admiration.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Floyd. Mark's legacy of love, pride, and passion for life will continue to resonate through the hearts of those he has left behind. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mark's name may be made to the Missouri Gun and Quail Club of Wright City, Missouri.
