Mark J. Muich, a beloved figure and dedicated family man, left this world on November 18, 2025, at the age of 65 in St. Louis, Missouri. Born on October 6, 1960, in St. Louis, Mark's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories shared with family and friends.
From a young age, Mark displayed an industrious spirit, ultimately leading him to partner with his brother Frank in starting F & M Painting. Their bond was much more than that of siblings; it was a true partnership marked by shared goals and the pride of building a business that would thrive for decades. In 2020, the torch was passed to his sons, Jesse and Tyler, who continue to uphold the values and labor that Mark instilled in them.
Education played an important role in Mark's formative years. He attended St. Paul Elementary School before moving on to South County Technical School, where he graduated in 1979. This foundation of knowledge served him well as he embraced his craft with diligence and creativity.
Mark's personality radiated warmth and kindness, qualities that resonated deeply with everyone fortunate enough to know him. An ardent fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Blue Hockey, he often found joy in sharing these passions with his loved ones, embodying the spirit of camaraderie in every game watched. In addition to his love for sports, Mark cherished the tranquility of crappie fishing with family during the spring—a time when he felt most connected to nature and his loved ones.
His affinity for games was evident to all. Whether it was playing Texas Hold 'Em, shooting pool, or honing his dart skills at the family lake house, he approached each gathering with laughter and a competitive spirit that brought everyone closer together. Yet, amidst all these activities, nothing compared to the simple joy he felt in spending time with his grandchildren—Johanna, Leroy, and Luca. They were the light of his life, and those moments with them always stood out as the highlight of his day.
Mark is survived by his devoted sons, Jesse and Tyler Muich; his cherished grandchildren, Johanna, Leroy, and Luca; his sister, Denise (Keith) Segraves; his nieces, Nicole (Will) Farney, Natasha (Morgan Volner) Muich and Amy (Guy) Ilgenfritz; and his nephew, Greg (Jessica) Segraves. Each of them will carry forward Mark’s legacy of love, compassion, and dedication.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Judy Muich, and his brother, Frank Muich Jr., along with his nephew, Nathan Muich. They were an integral part of his journey, and while their absence is keenly felt, the memories they created together continue to live on in the hearts of those who remain.
As friends and family prepare to say their farewell, visitation services will be held on November 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. A visitation will take place on November 25th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM, allowing those who knew him to gather and celebrate the incredible life Mark lived.
Mark J. Muich’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the bonds that tie us together as family. His spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will continue to inspire acts of love and kindness in all who had the privilege to know him.
