Mark R. Watson

May 28, 1954 — June 13, 2025

Wildwood, Missouri

Mark R. Watson, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Kirkwood, Missouri. Mark was born on May 28, 1954, in Orlando, Florida.

A graduate of Boone High School in Orlando, Mark went on to complete with honors a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at the University of Central Florida. In his career as a forensic accountant, Mark was most pleased when he could help small business owners get back on their feet in a timely manner following a natural disaster. Mark helped many such businesses recover from the damage inflicted by Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina, and many others, as well as by the BP oil spill in 2010. Mark also served as an officer for several industry organizations.

Mark possessed a sense of humor that brought joy to many, and was generous with both his time and treasure. He was a deacon in his church and was involved in supporting the missions program as well. Mark loved history and could talk at length about the Civil War and World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Osborn Watson; his son, Samuel Watson; and his brother, George Watson, Jr. (Rosemarie). He is preceded in death by his father, George Glynn Watson; his mother, Joanne Hamiter Watson; and his sister, Melinda Morrison.

Mark R. Watson will be remembered for his strong work ethic, honesty, intellect, humor and generosity.

A service to honor Mark's life will be held on Sunday, June 29, at 5:00 pm at Heritage Presbyterian Church, 4000 Alt Road, Wildwood, Missouri 63025.
