Marla Maureen “Mickey” Moore, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in Town and Country, Missouri, with her family by her side. Born on March 3, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, Mickey’s life was deeply rooted in warmth, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to those she cherished most.
Mickey's affection for her family was unconditional and ever-present, evident in each selfless act and every shared moment. Her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Daniel Carney, and grandsons, Maxwell and Jaxon Carney, were the lights of her life, and she found profound joy in supporting, guiding, and cherishing them. Mickey’s love extended even further, embracing her son-in-law as her own.
Through the years, Mickey forged a legacy grounded in kindness, hard work, and a nurturing spirit. She dedicated 15 years of her life to a career at Citigroup, rising to the position of Vice President of Procurement prior to her retirement. Friends and family alike recall her as someone who gave endlessly—whether it was a comforting word, a listening ear, or a helping hand. Her devotion to her loved ones was matched only by her determination and quiet strength.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Warner and Violet June Chandler, whose memory remains woven into the tapestry of her own story. In her own life, she honored their legacy through her actions, her values, and her heartfelt connection to family.
To those who knew her, Mickey served as a beacon of love. She celebrated life’s joys and weathered its storms with grace, always finding reason to smile and moments to share with those she held closest. Her grandchildren were her pride and delight, and she treasured every second spent watching them grow, explore, and become remarkable individuals in their own right.
