Mary Ann Dickerson

April 22, 1939 — May 13, 2025

Mary Ann Dickerson, born on April 22, 1939, entered eternal rest on May 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories. Mary Ann was known for her vibrant spirit, quick wit, and joyful personality, embracing life with a spark and warmth that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Mary Ann often said that family was her greatest joy, and she lived her life with that love clearly reflected in all she did. A dedicated mother, Mary Ann is survived by her son, Ken (Judy) Dickerson, and her daughter, Cindy and her Husband. She took immense pride in her family, including her granddaughters Macy (Jon) Gertken and Krystyn (Grant) Herbers. Additionally, she was a loving great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren: Lily Herbers, Margot Herbers, Gwen Gertken, and Felix Gertken. Her presence in their lives was a gift, she will be deeply missed.

Mary Ann also leaves behind her nephew, Mike Wiskoski, great-nephew, Andrew Wiskoski, along with a host of other family members and friends, all of whom were touched by her kindness and love. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her devoted husband Kenneth Gene Dickerson. Their bond was one of unwavering love, laughter, and partnership that remained strong through every chapter of life. She also joins her grandchildren, Jimmy and Amy, and her great-grandchild, Vincent Gertken, who forever remain in the hearts of their family.

Mary Ann found joy in life’s simple, meaningful pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the soothing rhythm of the waves. A devoted reader, she especially enjoyed mysteries—diving into suspenseful stories that transported her to thrilling new worlds. Her fondness for music, particularly that of Jimmy Buffett, set a lively backdrop to her spirited personality. Whether it was dancing to her favorite tunes, enjoying live music, or indulging in her love for word searches, she approached each activity with enthusiasm and delight.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who helped care for Mary Ann over the past few years—your kindness and support meant the world to her and to all of us.
