Mary K. Harrison, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on February 11, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 69. Born on July 3, 1956, Mary spent her formative years in O'Fallon, Missouri and graduated from Fort Zumwalt High School in the class of 1975.
Mary’s career commenced at GW Fiberglass, where she honed her work ethic and dedication before transitioning to a role that defined much of her later life. For many years, she served as a School Bus Monitor for Fort Zumwalt, a position through which she fostered connections with children and their families, earning a reputation for her caring nature and cheerful demeanor.
Known for her bright and fun-loving personality, Mary brought joy to those around her with her great sense of humor and playful spirit. Her family was her greatest pride, and she cherished spending time with them. A passionate painter, Mary found solace in expressing herself through art and crafts. She also enjoyed playing games with her family and relished camping trips in her younger years, filled with outdoor activities such as fishing and swimming. In her tranquil moments, she found joy in tending to her beautiful garden.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Richard (Darah Bigsby) Ware and Brandon (Megan) Harrison; eleven grandchildren, including Drake (Sam Momphard) Ware, Devin Ware, Tyler Ware, Christopher Ware, Ethan Ware, Andrea Bigsby, Blake Harrison, Dominic Harrison, Mia Harrison, Dominic Connour, and Dakota Connour; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin (Cindy) Wiest, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will carry her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Harrison; her father, Frederick Frank Wiest; her mother, Marie Antoinette Wiest; two sisters, Aurelia Rowan and Sharron Kiser; and her brother, Freddie Wiest.
Visitation services will be held on February 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on February 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters, Missouri, 63376. A funeral service will follow at the same location on February 19, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Mary will be laid to rest in a graveside service at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, located at 3950 W Clay St, St Charles, Missouri, 63301, at 2:00 PM on February 19, 2026.
Mary K. Harrison's legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
